On PC it connects by USB to NLR's HFS software or SimHub, which turn in-game telemetry into vibration and let you set each motor's intensity. HF8 Haptic Pad FAQ
HF8 or HF8 Pro?
Both have eight motors and the same connections. NLR says the HF8 Pro's motors have over 200% more torque, over 400% more power and 60% faster RPM, with SIMAERO mesh and high-density foam.
Does it work on PlayStation or Xbox?
Yes, through the 3.5 mm audio connection: game audio drives all eight motors together. Per-motor control and telemetry effects need a Windows PC. On PlayStation, NLR says to plug it into the controller's 3.5 mm jack; Bluetooth headsets are not compatible.
Does it need power?
Yes. It connects by USB plus DC power through its power adapter, and the 3.5 mm audio cable for console.
Does it work with NLR motion platforms?
Yes. NLR supports it with its motion platforms through Platform Manager and HFS software on a Windows PC.
Will it fit my chair?
It uses adjustable straps and NLR says it suits all gaming chair, racing seat and flight seat styles.
