Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work with older Fanatec bases? No. The Boost Kit 180 is exclusively compatible with the CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro bases. It will not work with the CSL Elite, CSW, or Podium series.

Will this void my warranty? Using this official Fanatec Boost Kit 180 does NOT void your warranty. However, using 3rd-party "8Nm power supplies" will void your wheel base warranty and may damage the electronics.

Is the difference really noticeable? Yes. Most users report that 8 Nm is the "sweet spot" for sim racing, offering a much more substantial and detailed feel compared to the standard 5 Nm entry level.
