Build Overview

The original Gundam from the One Year War debuts Bandai's Real Grade line, released in July 2010! The RG Gundam is modelled after the full size Gundam in Odaiba, Japan. Featuring built in armor gimmicks from the ingenious inner frame, realistic colour and stylization, and details never before seen on a 1/144 scale Gunpla, the RG Gundam sets a high bar for the Real Grade line. However, the next kit in line is sure to impress.
Story

After Zeon's mission to scout the Federation's Project V, a young Amuro Ray commandeers the RX-78-2 Gundam. Sporting Luna Titanium armor, a modular Core-Block System, and a bevy of armaments, the Gundam is an extremely versatile mobile suit. Due to Amuro's exponentially rising abilities, the Gundam became a symbol of power for the Federation, and fear for Zeon. As Amuro's fate is now intertwined with the legendary Char Aznable, they spur events which will shape history forever.
What is Real Grade?

The RG line is equipped with the latest in injection-mold technology, aiming for a brand-new building experience for veterans and new modelers alike. A pre-assembled inner frame allows for easy construction with detailed sculpted parts on top.
Every RG model is crafted with realism in mind. Intricate decals, subtle parts and colour separation, dynamic posability, and mechanical gimmicks are sure to make your model stand out without additional modification required.
